How Express Entry Works?
Express Entry System is a tool used by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada for management and processing of immigration applications for permanent residence for skilled workers in Canada or overseas.
Express Entry System manages applications for permanent residence under the federal economic immigration programs: the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class. Canadian provinces/territories can also recruit candidates from Express Entry through their Provincial Nominee Programs. First, a candidate has to create an Express Entry Profile and provide information about his or her skills, work experience, language ability, education, etc. Each of the three federal economic immigration programs has the minimum eligibility requirements. If a candidate meets the requirements of at least one program, then this person will be put in the Express Entry Pool of candidates. Top ranking candidates from the pool will be invited to apply for permanent residence.
An express entry candidate can stay in the pool for 12 months, if they are not issued an ITA within 12 months, they will be required to create a new profile and enter the pool again.
Once an ITA is issued, applicant has 90 days to submit complete application for Permanent Residency which includes uploading of all supporting documents. Express Entry allows fast processing of immigration applications within six months or less.
The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) allow Canadian provinces and territories to nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province.
Each Canadian province (except Quebec, which has a different selection system) and two territories have their own unique Provincial Nominee Programs. Participating provinces and territories sign agreements with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that allow them to select immigrants who meet the requirements that they have set forth.
Provincial and territorial governments have been using these programs to more effectively and efficiently welcome newcomers to their region. Each PNP is tailored to the province’s/territory’s specific needs to select nominees who will be able to settle into life and work in the region and to effectively contribute to the community. As of 2015, most PNPs contain at least one immigration stream aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration selection system. These are known as ‘enhanced’ nominations;candidates in the Express Entry pool who obtain a nomination from a province are awarded 600 points under the Comprehensive Ranking System, out of possible total of 1,200. Eventually, an Invitation to Apply for Permanent Residency will be issued to the candidate.
Depending on the province or territory, candidates eligible to enter the Express Entry pool may either enter the pool first and then be nominated by a province or territory, or be nominated by a province or territory before completing an online Express Entry profile and entering the Express Entry pool. In most cases, candidates are required to be in the pool before an application for an enhanced provincial nomination certificate can be made.
The Investor Program seeks to attract individuals with business or managerial experience who will contribute to the development of the Canadian economy.

A prospective student must obtain a Letter of Acceptance from a Designated Learning Institute, Financial Support to cover first year tuition fee and living expenses, Police Clearance Certificate, Medical Examination and so on. Study Permit expire 90 days after Graduation regardless of the date printed on the permit. Many Graduates are eligible to apply for post-graduation work permit that allows student to work for any employer anywhere in Canada for up to three years after Graduation. There are eligibility requirements for a Canadian citizenship application. First, a candidate must have been a permanent resident of Canada and physically been in Canada for at least three years during four years. There are some cases and factors that lead Citizenship judges to bend the three years rule. Also, a Canadian citizenship test should be taken, and language requirements and tax obligations must be met before a permanent resident can make a Canadian citizenship application.
